Hello! My name is Isabelle Strulovici. I am a qualified psychologist and my practice is in Blagnac, near Toulouse.
I first worked several years as a Personal Assistant in different companies in France and in England. I can look after english speaking clients. In 2003, I went back to university to become a psychologist.
When people face situations beyond their psychological resources, they might need some help from a professional. Depending on the problem, they can choose between different specialists: psychiatrist, psychologist, psychoanalyst, psychotherapist…
As a psychologist, I have a Master in Psychology. My qualification is legally-protected in France and I am registered with the "Agence Régionale de Santé" (French Regional Health Agency): my national number is: 31 93 1605 5.
I also have a degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and another degree in Adolescence issues.
Moreover, I practice EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and I am Accredited Practitioner in EMDR - EMDR Europe.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapeutic approach that addresses emotions, behaviours and cognitive contents. These 3 dimensions are interconnected and CBT aims to make them more functional, that is to say to help individuals change the way they think, behave and feel, in order to have a better quality of life. For CBT, it is not the very events that upset us, but how we make sense of them.
CBT is "problem focused" (undertaken for specific problems) and "action oriented" (therapist tries to assist the client in selecting specific strategies to help address those problems). The client is asked to do some "homework" between sessions, such as keeping a diary (to identify his or her dysfunctional thoughts, emotions and behaviours) or testing new behaviours.
CBT has shown its efficiency for a variety of conditions, including anxiety disorders (such as social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias…), depression as well as eating and substance abuse disorders.
Practical information :
My office is located near the city hall: 12 rue Prosper Ferradou, 31700 Blagnac
To get there, you can take the "tram" and get off at "Pasteur-Mairie de Blagnac" and then walk for about 5 minutes. There are also several car parks nearby.
It is recommended to have long sessions, especially at the beginning of the therapy, in order to get quick results.
Each session lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes and costs 80€.
It may be possible, in some cases, to have shorter sessions (around 45 minutes) which cost 50€ each.
The cost of the sesion can be adjusted in case of financial difficulty. Do not hesitate to tell me about it on the phone when taking the 1st appointment.
If you can't attend an appointment, could you please cancel it at least 48 hours in advance, in order to allow somebody else to take the appointment . Otherwise, 50 % of the amount will be asked.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sessions with psychologists are not covered by Social Security but you may have coverage with your private Insurance Company.
